Legal
Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Dashio websites, software-as-a-service products, domain and certificate services, and related digital services. By creating an account, placing an order, or using our services, you enter into a legally binding agreement with Dashio.
1. Scope and Applicability
These terms apply to all contracts and service use between Dashio and its customers. Any individual agreement, order-specific terms, or mandatory legal provisions take precedence where required. Conflicting customer terms do not apply unless expressly accepted by Dashio in writing.
A consumer is any natural person acting for purposes predominantly outside their trade, business, or profession. A business customer is any natural or legal person acting in the exercise of their trade, business, or profession. Clauses on withdrawal, jurisdiction, and certain liability limitations apply differently where mandatory consumer law requires.
2. Services and Contract Subject
Dashio provides SaaS products and related digital services, including ERP and productivity tools, domain registration and management, digital certificate services, account administration features, and customer support. Service features and limits depend on the selected plan or specific order.
We may use subcontractors or third-party providers (including infrastructure, payment, registry, or support providers) to deliver services. Dashio remains your contractual counterparty unless otherwise stated.
We may modify, update, replace, or discontinue service features where reasonably required for security, legal compliance, technical operation, or product development. We will use reasonable efforts to avoid disproportionate disruption.
Domain and certificate services depend on external registries, registrars, certificate authorities (CAs), validation systems, and related provider infrastructure. Dashio acts as customer-facing provider/reseller for these services and does not control all external decisions, workflows, or timings.
3. Account, Access Rights, and Customer Cooperation
You must provide accurate and complete information, keep credentials secure, and ensure that all users under your account comply with these terms. You are responsible for activities performed through your account unless caused solely by Dashio.
Customers can manage access rights within their account, including assigning seats/licenses and group- based permissions. You are responsible for assigning appropriate roles and maintaining lawful access controls in your organization.
Where your cooperation is required for service delivery (for example providing correct registration data, verification documents, technical information, or responses), delays or errors in such cooperation may limit or delay performance.
4. Acceptable Use, Abuse, and DSA Notice-and-Action
You may use our services only in compliance with applicable law and these terms. Fraud, abusive use, unlawful content, bulk-registration anomalies, misuse of infrastructure, and violations of registry or provider policies are prohibited.
This includes prohibited use related to domain and certificate products, such as phishing, malware distribution, fraudulent registrations, deceptive impersonation, and intellectual property infringements.
If you believe content hosted or made available through Dashio is unlawful or violates these terms, you may submit a notice to compliance@dashio.net. A complete notice should include: (i) the exact URL or resource identifier, (ii) the legal or contractual basis for the complaint, (iii) a clear explanation of why the content is allegedly unlawful or non-compliant, (iv) supporting evidence where available, (v) your contact details for follow-up, and (vi) a good-faith statement that the information provided is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. Dashio will assess notices and, where legally required (including under the DSA where applicable), acknowledge receipt, notify the notifier of the decision without undue delay, provide a statement of reasons, and indicate available redress options.
For DSA-related communications, Dashio’s electronic contact point is compliance@dashio.net. Dashio currently accepts communications in English and German.
Dashio may restrict, suspend, or terminate services where necessary to stop abuse, prevent legal or security risks, or comply with legal obligations.
5. Fees, Billing, Renewals, and Withdrawal
Services are generally offered on a prepaid basis. Fees and billing periods are shown during checkout or in your order summary. Payments are processed through supported payment providers (such as Stripe).
SaaS subscriptions: SaaS plans are billed monthly or annually in advance and renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal. If payment fails or a subscription expires, access may be suspended for a 7-day grace period during which reactivation is possible. After the grace period, services may be deactivated and data may be removed under applicable retention rules.
Domain services: Domain registrations and renewals depend on registry and registrar processes and policies. Domains billed monthly are subject to a minimum 12-month commitment, payable in monthly installments. Early cancellation during this minimum term is excluded unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Auto-renewal remains active unless disabled in time before renewal.
A domain order becomes effective only after Dashio accepts the order, required registration data is complete, payment is successfully received, and the operation is successfully processed by the relevant registrar/registry. Auto-renew workflows depend on configuration and successful payment. Failed payments, insufficient funds, or provider-side timing differences may result in expiry, deletion, or permanent loss.
Renewal pricing and no price lock: Domain renewal pricing may change due to registry, registrar, currency, tax, or provider changes. We do not guarantee a price lock beyond the current purchased term. Where possible, we provide prior notice of material renewal price increases.
Certificate and SSL services: Commercial terms for certificates may cover one or more issuance periods depending on CA/browser industry limits in effect at the time of issuance. Automatic renewal or reissue may initiate an order workflow, but successful issuance always depends on CA validation and your cooperation.
No refunds: Unless explicitly stated otherwise, prepaid fees are non-refundable for already-started service periods. This does not limit mandatory statutory rights, including mandatory consumer rights.
For domain operations (including registration, transfer, renewal, restore, or similar registry actions) and certificate operations, completed provider-side processing is generally final and non-refundable except where mandatory law or the applicable provider/CA refund policy provides otherwise.
Right of withdrawal: If you are a consumer, statutory withdrawal rights apply unless a lawful exception is met. For digital content or digital services, withdrawal rights may expire where performance begins during the withdrawal period after your prior express request and acknowledgement of the legal consequences. Domain registrations, renewals, restores, and transfers are typically non-reversible once submitted to registry/registrar systems and may therefore fall under statutory exceptions where applicable.
Email reminders and billing notifications are courtesy messages. You remain responsible for monitoring contract terms, renewals, and payment status in your dashboard.
6. Domains, DNS, and External Dependencies
Domain availability, allocation, activation, transfer, renewal, and deletion depend on registries, registrars, and applicable TLD rules. Dashio cannot guarantee successful registration, uninterrupted delegation, or recovery of expired names.
Dashio acts as a reseller/intermediary for domain services and is not an ICANN-accredited registrar unless explicitly stated otherwise for a specific service. Dashio may use underlying registrars and wholesale providers for domain operations. The underlying registrar can be identified on request where applicable. Registrants can also review ICANN registrant guidance at ICANN Registrant Benefits and Responsibilities.
Domain registrations, renewals, transfers, restores, and use are subject to applicable registry rules, registrar rules, ICANN policies (where applicable), dispute policies, and TLD-specific requirements, each as amended from time to time. This may include UDRP, URS, transfer-policy and transfer-dispute requirements, and binding decisions from courts, WIPO, dispute providers, registries, or registrars.
Domain operations may also be subject to separate or order-specific registration terms, checkout confirmations, or domain registration documentation that forms part of the contractual documentation for the relevant order. Such documentation may contain registrant data, domain-specific details, and policy-specific obligations. Dashio may retain this documentation for periods required by applicable registrar, registry, or reseller obligations.
For domain services, the applicable registry/registrar/ICANN/TLD rules and any order-specific registration documentation supplement these Terms and prevail to the extent required for the relevant domain operation.
You must provide accurate and complete registrant, administrative, technical, and billing information, including nameserver/technical configuration data where relevant, and keep such information updated without undue delay and, where applicable rules require, within the relevant policy timeframes. You must reasonably cooperate with identity, fraud, ownership, transfer, abuse, and policy verification requests, including providing supporting documents where required.
You must respond to data-accuracy, verification, abuse, and transfer inquiries within applicable policy timeframes. Failure to provide accurate information, maintain current data, or cooperate with required verification may lead to domain suspension, transfer lock, cancellation, deletion, or inability to complete transfer/restore operations where required by law or provider policy.
If you permit third-party use of a domain or hold a domain on behalf of another person/entity, you remain responsible toward Dashio unless and until proper registrant/holder information is disclosed and maintained as required by applicable rules.
Domain registration data and related case information may be shared, where required, with registries, registrars, verification providers, dispute providers, escrow providers, authorities, and public registration systems (such as WHOIS/RDAP) in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
Dashio may lock, suspend, transfer, cancel, or disclose information relating to a domain where required to comply with law, sanctions, policy obligations, fraud/abuse controls, data-accuracy obligations, or binding decisions from competent courts and dispute bodies.
Dashio will process outgoing transfer requests, auth-code provision, and domain unlock handling in accordance with applicable registrar/registry/ICANN policy timelines and aims to meet applicable maximum policy timeframes. Requests may be delayed, denied, or blocked only where permitted by applicable law or policy.
Renewal processing dates may follow provider/registrar system timing and can differ from dates shown in public registry records. You remain responsible for timely renewal and correct payment configuration. Restore/reactivation after expiry may be unavailable or subject to additional fees.
Certificate and SSL Services
Certificate issuance depends on successful validation by the relevant CA and provider workflow. Dashio cannot guarantee issuance timing or successful issuance where validation requirements are not fulfilled.
You must provide accurate domain, organization, and contact details and complete required validation steps in time. Validation requirements can differ by certificate type (for example DV, OV, EV, or equivalent).
Where applicable, you must accept CA subscriber agreements, validation messages, and supporting documents required by the issuing CA or provider workflow.
Certificate validity periods and issuance mechanics may change due to CA/browser industry rules. A longer commercial term may therefore be delivered through multiple issuance periods, reissues, or renewals rather than one single certificate file. You are responsible for timely installation and replacement of renewed or reissued certificates in your systems.
Certain requested changes after issuance may require a reissue or a new order, depending on CA policy. Refund eligibility for SSL/certificate services may be limited to the applicable provider/CA refund policy and may differ between new orders, renewals, and reissues. Already issued terms and reissues are generally non-refundable unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
7. Support, Security, and Availability
Dashio provides customer support through available channels, currently including email support at support@dashio.net. Scope and response times may vary by plan and request type.
We maintain reasonable technical and organizational security measures and use encrypted transmission where appropriate. We perform backups as part of operational resilience; however, no system can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability, and this section does not constitute a service-level availability guarantee unless explicitly agreed in writing. You should maintain your own backups of critical data.
Planned maintenance, emergency patches, third-party outages, or infrastructure incidents may cause temporary limitations or downtime.
8. Intellectual Property and Third-Party Links
All intellectual property rights in Dashio services, software, and materials remain with Dashio or its licensors. Except where explicitly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or exploit protected materials.
Services may contain links or integrations to third-party websites or services. Dashio is not responsible for third-party content, policies, or operations.
9. Confidentiality and Data Protection
Both parties will treat non-public confidential information received in connection with the contractual relationship as confidential and use it only for contract purposes, unless disclosure is legally required or already lawfully public.
Dashio processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the Dashio Privacy Policy. Where required, parties will enter into supplementary data processing documentation.
10. Liability, Indemnification, and Force Majeure
Dashio is fully liable where liability is mandatory, including intent, gross negligence, fraudulent concealment, injury to life/body/health, and where liability cannot legally be limited.
For negligent breach of essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damages. Essential contractual obligations are obligations whose fulfilment is necessary for proper contract performance and on whose compliance customers may regularly rely. Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold Dashio harmless from third-party claims resulting from your unlawful use, breach of these terms, or violation of third-party rights.
Neither party is liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including failures of registries, registrars, DNS operators, cloud infrastructure providers, payment processors, certificate authorities, validation providers, telecommunications networks, or other critical external services.
11. Term, Suspension, and Termination
Contract duration depends on the selected product and billing cycle. Contracts renew automatically unless terminated in accordance with the applicable cancellation rules.
Either party may terminate for cause where legal requirements are met. Dashio may suspend or terminate access immediately for serious breaches, abuse, fraud, payment default, sanctions risks, or legal compliance obligations, including required actions under registry/registrar or CA policies.
Suspension for failed payment or expiry may follow the grace-period logic described in Section 5. On termination, access ends and Dashio may delete data after applicable retention periods and operational recovery windows. Statutory, accounting, and compliance-related retention obligations remain unaffected.
12. Audit and Compliance Rights
Where necessary to verify compliance with these terms, legal obligations, or provider/registry rules, Dashio may request reasonable cooperation and relevant records from customers and may conduct proportionate compliance reviews. Such reviews will be limited to information reasonably necessary for the specific compliance purpose, and carried out with due regard to confidentiality, data protection, and business continuity.
13. Changes to These Terms
Dashio may update these terms only for justified reasons, including legal or regulatory changes, security requirements, material service adjustments, or closing contractual gaps that arise after contract formation. We will notify customers in text form within a reasonable notice period before changes take effect.
If a proposed change materially disadvantages you, Dashio will inform you of your right to object and, where applicable, your right to terminate. Changes requiring explicit consent will only become effective after such consent is obtained. Continued use alone does not replace mandatory consent requirements under applicable law.
14. Assignment
Dashio may assign rights and obligations under these terms to an affiliate or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer. You may assign rights only with prior written consent from Dashio.
15. Consumer Dispute Information
The former EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform under Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 has been discontinued (effective 20 July 2025 under Regulation (EU) 2024/3228). Dashio is not obliged and does not agree to participate in consumer arbitration board proceedings unless mandatory law requires participation.
16. Sanctions and Export Compliance
You may not use the services in violation of applicable sanctions, export control, or trade compliance laws. Dashio may restrict, refuse, or terminate services where required for legal compliance.
17. Governing Law, Venue, and Final Provisions
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules and, where applicable, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected where legally required.
If you are a merchant, legal entity under public law, special public fund, or have no general place of jurisdiction in Germany, the place of jurisdiction is Stuttgart, Germany, unless exclusive statutory venues apply.
If any provision of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
